Social media critic and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman (VDM), has claimed popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, leaked his phone number to the public.
Chinwo had earlier dragged Verydarkman to court for defamation of character following his comments on her ongoing case with her former manager and record label boss, Eezee Tee.
In a post sighted online, the court paper dated March 3, 2025, revealed that Chinwo demanded compensation to the tune of N1.1 billion from VDM for defaming her.
Reacting to the defamation suit in a video he shared on his social media pages, the critic said he will not be able to pay for the damages he is likely to incure and jokingly apologized to the singer.
The saga, however, took a surprising twist, after VDM accused Chinwo of leaking his private phone number online.
Speaking via a now trending video, he showed a picture of a document with his number typed on it and claimed that the material had been shared online, adding that numerous netizens now have access to it.
The dark model went on to bemoan how his phone has been buzzing with calls and his WhatsApp filled with random messages.
Verydarkman went on to taunt Mercy Chinwo with a Christian song he composed on the spot and restated that she was going to learn the hard way.
