Social media personality and activist VeryDarkMan has claimed that he was unable to attend the wedding celebration of content creators Peller and Jarvis in Lagos because he feared he could be arrested upon arriving in the state.
Speaking in a video shared online, VeryDarkMan said he had intended to be part of the occasion but decided against travelling to Lagos due to what he described as concerns over his relationship with the Lagos Police and unnamed “enemies.”
“Unfortunately, I could not go to Lagos because I have bigger enemies in Lagos, and the Lagos Police and I are not friends. Immediately I enter Lagos, there’s a high chance I might be arrested,” he said.
Despite his absence, the activist said he followed the event online and praised the organisation of the ceremony.
He disclosed that he had received Peller’s asoebi for the occasion and expressed admiration for the couple, saying he was pleased to see everyone celebrating.
“I have Peller’s asoebi here, and I’ve been watching the wedding. I love how everything is coordinated, and everyone is happy,” he said.
VeryDarkMan also spoke warmly about the couple, noting that he has affection for both Peller and Jarvis and sometimes criticises them because he cares about them.
He concluded by wishing the newlyweds a happy married life and offered prayers for the child they are expecting.
