Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, once reached out to him and his legal team for assistance in avoiding imprisonment.
In a statement that has sparked reactions online, Sowore claimed that Malami, whom he described as “embattled,” allegedly sent intermediaries to him and his lawyers in a bid to secure help amid legal troubles. According to Sowore, the former AGF “suddenly found out that we’re the most credible people he can use.”
Sowore further alleged that former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, may also be considering a similar move.
