The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has extended warm felicitations to fathers across Awgu and beyond in celebration of Father’s Day, describing them as the enduring pillars of families and society.
In a goodwill message conveyed through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Chairman paid glowing tribute to fathers for their invaluable roles as providers, protectors, and moral leaders. He noted that fathers remain the “quiet strength behind every success story,” emphasizing their place as the backbone of every home and the driving force behind discipline, care, and stability.
Hon. Okolo urged fathers to remain steadfast in their responsibilities, calling on them to prioritize unity, good leadership, and harmony within their families and communities. According to him, the influence of fathers extends far beyond the home, shaping the moral and social fabric of society at large.

The Awgu helmsman also commended the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, for what he described as exemplary leadership and a fatherly role in steering the state toward progress.
