Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of Works, David Umahi, for approving the rehabilitation of key federal roads in the state.
Governor Adeleke disclosed that the Federal Government, through the Federal Executive Council (FEC), approved contracts for the rehabilitation of the Osogbo–Gbongan road and the Osogbo–Iwo–Ibadan road.
He noted that the projects would significantly ease transportation challenges and boost economic activities across Osun State.
The governor recalled his official visit to the Minister of Works on October 18, 2024, where he appealed for urgent intervention on the roads, expressing appreciation for the positive response from the Federal Government.
He further praised President Tinubu and the minister for their responsiveness, pledging the support of the Osun State Government toward the successful execution of the projects.
Adeleke added that the development reinforces the state’s endorsement of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections and expressed optimism for stronger collaboration with the Federal Government.
