Tension has gripped the Barikallahu community near the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna after Air Force personnel allegedly attacked civilians, leaving one dead and two others injured.

Eyewitnesses report that the incident began at a local viewing center when a dispute over a woman escalated into a fight between two Air Force officers. A civilian who attempted to intervene was reportedly assaulted, prompting one of the officers to call for reinforcements. Instead of diffusing the situation, the arriving personnel allegedly launched an attack on residents, assaulting several people before opening fire.

One civilian was reportedly shot in the head and died on the spot, while two others sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital.

Outraged by the attack, residents of Barikallahu have taken to the streets in protest, demanding justice and accountability from military authorities. They are calling for an immediate investigation into what they describe as an unprovoked assault.

As of now, the Nigerian Air Force has yet to issue an official statement on the incident, while tension remains high in the community.
