
Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has expressed gratitude following her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement released on Thursday, 30th April 2026, Ojukwu said she was “truly honored” to assume the new role, describing the appointment as a moment of humility and responsibility.
She also extended her appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her, noting that she is committed to serving the nation with dedication.
“I am truly humbled by your trust and confidence in my abilities,” she stated.
Ojukwu further pledged to align her leadership with the administration’s foreign policy direction, particularly the “4D Foreign Policy Priorities” under the Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as strengthen Nigeria’s citizen diplomacy and global engagement.
She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing Nigeria’s national interests on the international stage and contributing to the country’s continued diplomatic success.
