OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY DISTINGUISHED SENATOR DR. HOPE ODIDIKA UZODINMA (ONWA), THE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE.
Your Excellency Sir,
I am a concerned inhabitant of Don K, off MCC Road, Owerri. I am among the many Imolites, who have been applauding your giant strides in infrastructural interventions in various areas across the State.
Honestly, you are resuscitating the comatose infrastructure located across the State, thumbs up your Excellency.
To mention but a few of your benevolence in infrastructural developments, the ongoing Flyover at Control Post in Owerri, the Owerri- Umuahia expressway, are milestones. It has really proven to doubting Thomases wrong of your ability, capacity and knack for landmark projects.
While your presence is being felt across the length and breadth of our dear State Imo, there are areas, yearning for your utmost attention and concern. One of those areas is (Don K off MCC Road) in Owerri North L.G.A.
Your Excellency, I clearly understand the enormity of the work you are doing, but this area is at the verge of imminent collapse. During the rainy season, the rate of flood in the Don K neighbourhood stepped up hugely and has continued to endanger the lives and property of law abiding citizens residing in the area.
The inhabitants have tried on their own Palliative efforts, but it has not allowed the hen to hatch , but has increased the challenges.
Your Excellency, the rate of gully in the the area, if not urgently checked, will result to a devastating natural disaster, which may likely cause loss of lives and property as enemies of your people oriented administration may cash in on such unpleasant news, to score cheap political goals and points.
I, an inhabitant of Don K, off MCC Road in Owerri North is urging you, to use your good offices and rescue the area, from the looming danger, occasioned by the nature of the road.
May God Almighty always direct Your Excellency as you navigate Imo out of the troubled waters.
