Isaac Fayose Slams Atiku, Reacts to Peter Obi’s Reported Move to NDC

A Nigerian social commentator, Isaac Fayose, has stirred political conversations online following his reaction to the reported move of Peter Obi to the NDC.

In a strongly worded statement, Fayose described the NDC as “the fastest-growing party in Africa,” claiming it gained about 9.1 million members within 48 hours. He argued that the surge reflects a shift from traditional party loyalty to personality-driven politics, suggesting that Obi’s influence is the driving force behind the momentum.

Fayose also took a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, alleging that the ADC has lost nearly 10 million followers amid the political realignment. He accused Atiku of promoting “greedy politics,” blaming him for internal crises that weakened the PDP and warning that the ADC could face a similar fate.

“This time, it’s not really about the party, it’s about personality,” Fayose said, emphasizing what he sees as a new political wave shaped by individual credibility rather than party structures.
