Residents of Anchau town in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State reportedly thwarted an attempted invasion by heavily armed bandits after confronting the attackers and refusing to flee despite gunfire.
According to reports from the community, the suspected terrorists stormed the area with plans to launch an attack but were met with fierce resistance from determined youths and local residents who mobilised to defend their town.
Witnesses said the bandits fired multiple shots in an apparent attempt to disperse the crowd and create panic, but the residents stood their ground, forcing the attackers to abandon their mission and retreat from the community.
