
A dramatic scene unfolded at a GTBank branch on CMD Road on Monday after a customer accused the bank of withholding ₦5 million from his account for two weeks.
In a video circulating on social media, the visibly frustrated man was seen confronting bank officials inside the banking hall, demanding an explanation and the immediate release of his funds.
The customer repeatedly challenged staff members, saying, “You want to seize my phone? Madam, you want to seize my phone? If you like, call God. I’m not leaving here today until you answer me and return my ₦5 million.”
His outburst reportedly drew the attention of other customers and staff, causing a temporary disruption within the branch as efforts were made to calm the situation.
The man alleged that the bank had held onto his ₦5 million for two weeks without providing a satisfactory explanation. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the disputed funds were not immediately clear.
